Amigurumi-Along: The rules
Amigurumi-Along: The rules
Just thought you'd like to know about this nice Amigurumi along. So if you don't like monkeys you could make a bunny or bird or something fun and join this one. It has some nice free patterns and mentions one that I posted as well.

Curious George
Probably the most favored monkey of all time....Curious George. I don't have him yet in my monkey collection but I do have a peppermint smelling monkey, a pink beanie one, a remus, an orangutan, one that bounces on a string, a finger puppet, a key chain monkey, and several others. I will post a pic of all or most of them in a setting for you later to help inspire ideas of what to make and in what colors.
I also have (yes personally) the following books with great monkey patterns:
1000 Great Knitting Motifs by Luise Roberts
with a little monkey motif on page 261 thats 18 stx16 rows
Knitted Toys by Fiona McTague
with a monkey pattern on page 56
World of Knitted Toys by Kath Dalmeny
with a spider monkey on page 18
with a gorilla on page 25
with an orangutan on page 26
Toy Knits by Debbie Bliss
with a monkey on page 75
And that's just going through some of my knitting books for monkey patterns. I hope to knit or crochet a monkey up soon. I was also thinking of knitting up a banana to accompany my monkeys! Happy New Year again everyone. And hope you all get to see the new King Kong movie. I haven't seen it yet but want to compare it.
Maybe I'll make a Mini Kong! :)
